USDA Food Composition Databases

As of October 1, 2019, this website (https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/) will no longer be available and users will be automatically redirected to FoodData Central, USDA's new integrated, research-focused data system that provides expanded data on nutrients and other foods components as well as links to related agricultural and experimental research.

FoodData Central includes the data from this website—Standard Reference (SR) Legacy and the USDA Global Branded Food Products Database—as well as the 2013-2014 Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies (FNDDS); Foundation Foods, which provides expanded nutrient content information; and links to diverse data sources that offer related agricultural, dietary supplement, and other information.

Older versions of SR and other historical food and nutrient data previously available on this site are accessible on the new Methods and Application of Food Composition Laboratory website. A link to the Ground Beef Calculator will soon be available at the Methods and Application of Food Composition Laboratory website. FNDDS 2015-2016 and earlier releases of FNDDS are available on the Food Surveys Research Group website.
